First trip to ECP for yr2007 - 07/01/07
be warned: long entry

for those who have known me well, u probably won't be surprised if u were told that Cindy's been to ECP again, yesh! i simply love going to ECP (^_^)V despite the travelling time. sounds abit dumb for some, as a matter of fact, taking public transport all the way to ECP is indeed a hassle. what to do? when WCP just can't be anywhere comparable to ECP, in terms of, facilities; the lmitations in their area; and worse, can't even find a decent place selling FOOD! (except for Macdonalds).

anw, back to topic, i went down to ECP with ming, qiu and qiu's roommate - xiaomei, for my planned skating session. i was late by 30mins (ard there lah), where the rest already turned up at our meeting place, JE central, i'm always late (the usual). lol. we saw julia while on our way up to the platform where ming's waiting for us, so julia kinda companied us half way through our journey or was it the other way round? haa.. anw, u got the idea lah. from the min we stepped into the train, our topic evolved around inline-skating! appearantly, julia took up a course with 'Inline-culture' at ECP, so that makes her one of my 'kakis-to-be'? lol. more frenz to jio in future! Swee lah! and so she went blah blah blah on the courses offer by Inline, while i jus listen attentively and occasionally peeped in over to qiu's side, cos xiaomei (qiu's roommate) was really shy and very soft-spoken too, so i was rather busy listening to both sides conversations. haa. pretty soon, julia alight at her destination - Cityhall, leaving the 4 of us with our journey to the east. after much debating, we'd decided to alight at Bedok and take the feeder bus no.401 to ECP, but before that, the gers (ming & qiu) were complaining of hunger. time to recharged at Bedok hawker for some duck rice and tau huey! =)

after the refreshment, we made our way to the interchange (jus behind the hawker) and waited for the one and only SBS bus that can take us to ECP. i've yet again experience the lousy service of SBS, the waiting hours were damn freaking long! and we got so tired with the waiting that we were yawning one after another :x 可恶!thou angry, we waited for the bus to come still, no other choice mah. (unless cabbie, then again cabbies service sucks too!) finally we managed to arrived at ECP, goodness... tell u the feeling is just great lah, so forget abt the bus. haa. (for now)

i'd showed ming to the rental shop on the extreme right facing the coast, which i've went to previously with buddy, the price was reasonable and best of all, they provide u with socks. haa. good leh, not those branded ones of cos... but not bad lah.. think its was $8 for 2hrs + a pair of free socks. xiaomei got herself a bicycle from the same rental store since she's not comfortable with skating, thou we did tried to persuade her to try out this new sport but she declined. and so with our equipments intact, we were ready to get ourselves all geared up! i took the gers to the same spot which we went the last time to get ourselves warm up before we proceed on. qiu got her momemtum picked up pretty fast, very soon she's alr touring the track along with xiaomei ^^ i was kinda going circles at the flat ground with ming practising her basic ropes. but i soon got abit bored with the merry-go-round, and i "abandon" ming to skate along with qiu in the end. so much of coincidence wor, we saw roy & gf skating too, actually roy saw us first, but we didn't stop to chat, we just waved and continued with our skating. lol. *dao siah*

with the 2hrs of skating, we took a short water-break frm the 7-11 before ming suggested on a dual-bicycle ride. wahseh.. i can't remember when was the last time i'd had my dual ride le, i'm quite afraid of having 2 ppl on the bike seriously, nevertheless i took up the challenge (i'm a brave ger) lol. with qiu & xiaomei on the first bike while ming & myself took on the second bike, off we embarked on our 两人自行车之旅, sounds romantic rite? lol. we pedalled from mac to the East Coast Lagoon Village, and a stopover in-between at the cable-ski arena, where we stood by and watched the water-skiers lie/stand monotonously on their ski-board *sian* so we got abit bored and tot maybe it's time to proceed to the East Coast Lagoon Village for food! haa. yesh! item list as follow: BBQ chicken; BBQ Stingray; BBQ LaLa; BBQ Satay; Coconut drink & Sugarcane drink.

YUMMY! YUMMY! YUMMY! YUMMY! YUMMY!

after our dinner, we spotted a magnificent castle near our dining table =) so we strolled further down to realise, it's in fact a sandcastle workshop that's on-going wor. as the name implies, it's an event conducted to coach those who are interested in building sandcastles by the 'professionals'; and the main purpose for this event is to bring about family-togetherness and harmony among each other, very meaningful, dunch u think so? we saw quite a number of family participating, the children were particularly excited and creative.

there's this caucasian family who took part in the workshop too, and lotsa attention came from their baby boy cos he's just too adorable le. many of the crowd can't lift their eyes off him, that includes myself ^_^ have the urge to cuddle him lor.

and the beautiful sunset by the seaside =) i felt the presence of serenity then.

ps: being calm is such a wonderful feeling.
