S.H.E 2007 移动城堡 正式落幕了

yesh! at long last, it's the yr2007 S.H.E live concert at the S'pore Indoor Stadium =)
i left home very early for dat day siah, haa... not for the concert thou, but to mit qiumei as she wanted to visit NYP first. but the plan was cancelled very last min. when qiu says she wasn't sure of the Open House timing... and that she would rather go shopping instead :x lol. 女人是善变的!so we went J8 instead, its been quite a long time since i last stepped into Bishan. wee~ shopping..

so much of excitement, i ended up wif only one coat frm S&K. appearantly, J8 oso not much options to my likings wor. hai. i then suggest to go Dhoby Ghaut Exchange afterwhich, cos i've never been there b4 (very sua gu). tot might be a wiser choice for shopping. but to my extreme disappointment, the exchange is so small and limited siah... u can probably finished walking around in less than 40mins, reali nutthin much ah. sian. but with my never-say-die spirit, i dragged qiu to The Cathay! lol. i've only been there once with bud & jac for movie, but that was before the retails were even operating, haa.. gan cheong spiders. ohh... not forgetting... we bought pocky's at err... Action City? haa. forgotten where le. anw, it's a store selling those cute little soft toys and such.

so anw, the retails at Cathay are pretty much sad case too, with very few shops opening for business while the rest are either left vacant or under renovations -.-"
we took a quick bite at 满家乐, and we've gotta storm off to Kallang, cos we're getting late :x we were typically rushing our way to the Indoor Stadium, panting and perspiring like mad, my stamina damn bad lah. but thank god, we still make it in time, managed to pee before the concert begins thou the que for the ladies was HORRIBLE!

my very first experience at the balcony arena, and probably the last in my life. the audience were so dead! urgh... hello! u're not listening to some classical/musical performance lor... grr.. totally not spontenous at all, qiu and i were the crazy ones... yelling and waving madly... totally exhausted towards the end. but yea... hell of fun, with the screaming and sing along. i think Stef Sun's truly deserved the 小天后 title, cos her vocal's reali power lor... *thumbs up*
no photos on the concert thou, since i din bring my cranky cam along, and sadly to find out that my 3.2mp k800i couldn't perform up to the standard as well. but i'm glad i've enjoyed myself well enuff and with a companion like qiu to act so crazily. haa...

special thanks to best pal ever, missy wong.
she made honey water drink for me! 幸福的感觉
!

ps: qiu, sorry about the cosy bay. we'll go another time k.

[26-01-07] a toast to you!

it's been a long time since i last went drinking with anyone. strangely, tis few days, i've been craving for a great chillout companied wif nice alcoholic mix, and interesting frenz to go along. so i intiate a nite out at Eski bar perhaps (my initial plan, since i've never been to Eski @ Holland; and after RY's introduction to Eski with her pictures).

i met up wif ming str8 from work, but the weather was bad. it's been drizzling the whole afternoon and i was aware of that, but little did i expect the rain to pour more vigorously jus when i was about to knock off. reluctantly, i took the train down to Dover and got into a cab to holland.v; so as to keep myself dry, as well as not to keep ming waiting since she's alr in Holland.v since 7pm.

after a short discussion, ming and i decided to change our plan to Tango's instead, hoping that they might serve better food (cos i was kinda hungry then). i'd ordered their spicy tango's wings and cheese tofu in some specially marinated sauce (but the fact is, it's actuali 'sardine' sauce, based on my judgement); and a glass of lychee martini to start the kick off. anw, the wings are pretty good - mixture of spicy and a tiny bit of soury taste, but the cheese tofu kinda put me off... definately not a second time for dat dish. while i'm trying hard to finish my snacks, qiumei and her fren, angie joined in shortly from their ktv singing. wif a slight debuting, qiumei was pushing the idea of drinking at Eski instead cos she's never been to Eski, and well.. we gave in lah, thou i wasn't prepared to (cos i forgotten to bring my sweater :x) plus the weather's not good too.

saw RY and her "gang" near the counter, RY wif her fave heineken as usual. and we so happen to have our seats jus next to her table. we ordered greygoose canberry and chivas coke for dat nite. my 'blushes' gave me away as usual, haa... i love to blush! i wish to drink somemore, wif CNY approaching.. haa.. let's cheers. *clink*

Yumilicious Mochi Ice-cream

'muah ji' ice-cream - comes with 3 flavours; chocolate, mint and strawberry; bite-size, not too sinful. haa.
i'm having more junk food nowadays. that's bad.

Holly Shit !

my camera's not quite right this 2 days. i can't charge my cam!! urgh. >.<
mm.. my fuji camera probably knew i'd jus got my SE cybershot fone, hence the protesting. hai.

my one and only camera is going to die soon! how? *cry*
OH NOoo! which means i can't bring in my cam for S.H.E concert le!! 怎么办!? even thou, i may not be able to 'smuggle' in my cam eventually, but there's still skimp of hope rite?

i do not wish to send my camera for servicing again, cos the service centre is bloody far lah, paya lebar leh.... Zzz. inaccessible lor, hai. dunno how much are they charging me for the servicing oso, 很烦阿 the next qn, if its not worth the effort to service, then wadz next? whether to get a new cam anot? feel like getting one, but maybe not... i'm not fully-utilising it, i'm aware of dat myself.

ps: get well pls.. my f410

Chilling out at Vivo City

finally met up wif buddy! together wif jac (been looking forward!)
met jac at harbourfront station. we went shop shop abit while waiting for bud to join us later, then jac suggested to go adidas store, and so we went in, hoping to find any nicely new arrival tees but sad to say, dun have lor. bud arrived shortly, meawhile jac's still indecisive on which sneakers to get, taking into considerations the designs and colours. on seeing jac in dilemma(again), we insisted that she should just try on the shoes to see if it fits, after much persuasion, jac finally took on to try 2 pairs out of the rest. unfortunately, one of which doesn't comes in her size, but anw the one she took looks nice on her too. hope she likes it as much as i do. hee.

wif the partial shopping, we went on to scout for food! yesh... food at last... terribly hungry that day. on our way to the 2nd level in search for out dinner, i saw a familiar yet strange character walking towards our direction. it was 'L' from the anime/movie Death Note! to be precise, we saw this dude wearing the same exact mask as 'L' in the movie Death Note 2, and he's wearing dat mask window-shopping in vivo lor (maybe not shopping, but to draw attention instead). while naturally, this mimic dude caught lotsa attention from the crowd, since hardly anybody wif the right mind would do that. just to refresh, anyone who has watched DN2 would have recognised him. haa.. but dat fellow is candid lah and playful enuff. wonder how he looks like in person, would he be as cute as 'L'? hee. okay, enuff of 'L'

bud was telling us about this new hong kong theme cafe call ‘黑色会’seriously i have no idea wad this 黑色会 is about, but i think their dishes must be not bad bah... u've gotta see the queue for urself to believe lor... i truly believe s'poreans are very kiasu when it comes to the food aspect. then again, longer que reflects on its popularity, but the longer que does not equates to the ontology of the food itself being tasty. but do look out for the 黑色会 the next time u visit vivo, to testify on that. hence, queing for 黑色会 is out of the question for dat nite, we ended up at White Dog cafe, cos there's lesser crowd! haa.. i hate to wait lah... esp when i'm already so dead hungry, grr..

we'd ordered a main course each, and a appetizer for a start =) bud's main cos was sandwiches (forgotten the name for it); jac's main cos was King's Scallop inked linguine with presto sauce; and mine was Chicken Leg (think so lah, can't reali rem the name for it), only rem jac's the most since its "too memorable" to forget le. lol. ohh.. yea... for those who din noe, there's a difference between inked pasta and ink sauce pasta. so if u dun wan ur teeth to 'stain' after the meal, go for the INKED pasta, where the pasta being process with wadever ink they call it, before the chef adds the pasta in the sauce to flavour it. jac got her inked linguine exchanged to crabmeat pasta eventually due to some error in the defination of the pasta, found in the menu, which i won't go into detail. overall, i would rate the food with jus a 6/10 but the ambience was pretty good thou, so probably a 7.5/10 for that. shall leave the rest to the photos to elaborate more =)

my fave finger food at the present moment. quite tasty, not spicy at all; neither is it oily or filled with disgusting chicken fats =) think i got it from Giant, $6 for 2 pkts.

My k8ooi

finally dumped my N70 for my very first SonyEricsson phone - k800i!

M1 at Westmall was selling k800i at $268, throwing in a 64mb m2 card. i tot about the offer, but i remembered they were giving 256mb on friday, so i wasn't convinced and decided to check out at IMM instead. true enough, M1 at IMM is giving me an additional 256mb m2 card! (i'm happy ^_^) i'm glad that i didn't rush to get the fone at Westmall. i'm still figuring out certain features in my fone, need some practises on the camera as well.
kiss goodbye to Nokia fone for the time being.

Unleashed my Cravings!

finally i'm free and available to make my way down to RELC for the payment to my UOL Examinations fee, my only free slot for the entire week.

mit up with qiu at JE ard 10a.m, supposed to be early, but then i couldn't wake up lah - the usuals. anw, we took a direct bus no.105 from JE interchange where we'll alight opp Pine's CC. for some strange reasons i just can't sit comfortably on my seat while on our way to RELC, i was complaining to qiu that my back's aching real badly :x and i can't explain it with words; i was fidgeting endlessly, quite a nuisance to qiu i noe.
we got off along Stevens Road and proceed on, to find the rear exit of RELC. it's the first time i'd came by this route, since the last time (which was last yr) i got to RELC was via cab from Shaw House. now it makes me realised how unnecessary it was to spend on cabbies when in fact i have a direct bus to RELC. duh. to further add on to my happiness, the queue to the fee collection counter were uber short! that's to say, i didn't have to wait for more than 10mins to have my forms and cheque approved and submitted *wee* no long queues, no long waiting time; everything was just so smooth lor =)
afterwhich we took a bus heading back to orchard road for our brunch. qiu wanted to have BK's breakfast initially, but just too bad lah, it was alr past 11 when we got to Far East, so no more breakfast strictly speaking at that hr. so we carried on with the walking, hoping to see anything nice and tempting that comes along, we'll just go with it. haa. and i suddenly tot of the 'Pontian Wonton Mee' from Heeren, so i brought qiu there (^.^) we were the first very few customers for the day i suppose, lunch at 11+am consider early rite?

our 'Pontian Wonton Noodles' from Grafitti cafe.

here comes the highlights for dat day - qiu and i took neoprints! haa.. ok, to be more specific we haven had any neoprints taken for more than a yr?! i think so, or more. in most case, i won't be the one initating on the idea of neoprints, which i did on dat day, dunno wad came over me. haa. taking neoprints was a challenge to me, u've gotta think of ur poses, act cute, rush with the shutter's timing! - hectic is the word. it took us quite awhile before we settled on which machine to chose oso (another headache). our worse fear came, when all the instructions from the machine appears to be in JAPANESE only! holy shit.... we have no clue to wad it's telling us lor, we could only look for signals such as, when the monitor screen show our faces, we've to get ready for the shutter to snap any moment from thereon; then we'll have to quickly swopped/changed our poses -.-" what a torture. just when we tot everything is over. but dun forget there's the editting process! and i'd seriously dunno how to use/click on whichever icon to "doll" ourselves up. i've totally gone berserk, shouting to qiu and calling SOS lor, with the timer counting down every second got me even panicky! thank god, no others were ard at that time. *phew* and with the previous experience we tot our second attempt would definately be a better one, NO! we were terribly wrong, we were just as nervous, dunno for what oso. lol. the editting was truly horrendous. we couldn't help but to keep laughing at our end-product :x still, i was quite pleased with 2 of the prints lah. haa. make a guess on which are the 2 'satisfied ones'.

there was one print which turned out blank :x we did a bad job this time, we'll reflect and improve the next time, right pal? haa. but i've really had fun with the neoprints (^_^)V

we were late for ktv by the time we've finished with taking of neoprints, suppose to mit RY at JE at 1pm, when we were still at orchard at that time. jialat, need time management seriously. so we "rushed" down to JE as fast as we could, meanwhile RY went shop shop ard popular store. i was really paiseh for RY to waited an hr for us, really paiseh siah. RY looked quite tired then, but she's always so 'cool' and she speak so little each time, dunno if she's really exhausted or jus acting cool wor. lol. but i'd read ur blog, that u were really feeling tired on dat day. we went on with our ktv at JE Kbox from 2.30-7pm =) hee.. shiok! cos qiu and i sang the most. lol. RY's more like a audience for dat day, she's just shy... haa.. ohh, well... hope she won't be so uneasy for the second, third and henceforth sessions. lol. and anw, no pics for the ktv cos the camwhoring 'PRINCESS' was feeling tired so we were being "spared" haaa. while qiu and myself were so engrossed with the singing... okay, that's all for my thursday; another delayed post. hee.

ps: (qiu: thks for the pics pal =))
(RY: sorry for the delay that day. & thks for turning up thou u were alr brainfried le. lol)

First trip to ECP for yr2007 - 07/01/07
be warned: long entry

for those who have known me well, u probably won't be surprised if u were told that Cindy's been to ECP again, yesh! i simply love going to ECP (^_^)V despite the travelling time. sounds abit dumb for some, as a matter of fact, taking public transport all the way to ECP is indeed a hassle. what to do? when WCP just can't be anywhere comparable to ECP, in terms of, facilities; the lmitations in their area; and worse, can't even find a decent place selling FOOD! (except for Macdonalds).

anw, back to topic, i went down to ECP with ming, qiu and qiu's roommate - xiaomei, for my planned skating session. i was late by 30mins (ard there lah), where the rest already turned up at our meeting place, JE central, i'm always late (the usual). lol. we saw julia while on our way up to the platform where ming's waiting for us, so julia kinda companied us half way through our journey or was it the other way round? haa.. anw, u got the idea lah. from the min we stepped into the train, our topic evolved around inline-skating! appearantly, julia took up a course with 'Inline-culture' at ECP, so that makes her one of my 'kakis-to-be'? lol. more frenz to jio in future! Swee lah! and so she went blah blah blah on the courses offer by Inline, while i jus listen attentively and occasionally peeped in over to qiu's side, cos xiaomei (qiu's roommate) was really shy and very soft-spoken too, so i was rather busy listening to both sides conversations. haa. pretty soon, julia alight at her destination - Cityhall, leaving the 4 of us with our journey to the east. after much debating, we'd decided to alight at Bedok and take the feeder bus no.401 to ECP, but before that, the gers (ming & qiu) were complaining of hunger. time to recharged at Bedok hawker for some duck rice and tau huey! =)

after the refreshment, we made our way to the interchange (jus behind the hawker) and waited for the one and only SBS bus that can take us to ECP. i've yet again experience the lousy service of SBS, the waiting hours were damn freaking long! and we got so tired with the waiting that we were yawning one after another :x 可恶!thou angry, we waited for the bus to come still, no other choice mah. (unless cabbie, then again cabbies service sucks too!) finally we managed to arrived at ECP, goodness... tell u the feeling is just great lah, so forget abt the bus. haa. (for now)

i'd showed ming to the rental shop on the extreme right facing the coast, which i've went to previously with buddy, the price was reasonable and best of all, they provide u with socks. haa. good leh, not those branded ones of cos... but not bad lah.. think its was $8 for 2hrs + a pair of free socks. xiaomei got herself a bicycle from the same rental store since she's not comfortable with skating, thou we did tried to persuade her to try out this new sport but she declined. and so with our equipments intact, we were ready to get ourselves all geared up! i took the gers to the same spot which we went the last time to get ourselves warm up before we proceed on. qiu got her momemtum picked up pretty fast, very soon she's alr touring the track along with xiaomei ^^ i was kinda going circles at the flat ground with ming practising her basic ropes. but i soon got abit bored with the merry-go-round, and i "abandon" ming to skate along with qiu in the end. so much of coincidence wor, we saw roy & gf skating too, actually roy saw us first, but we didn't stop to chat, we just waved and continued with our skating. lol. *dao siah*

with the 2hrs of skating, we took a short water-break frm the 7-11 before ming suggested on a dual-bicycle ride. wahseh.. i can't remember when was the last time i'd had my dual ride le, i'm quite afraid of having 2 ppl on the bike seriously, nevertheless i took up the challenge (i'm a brave ger) lol. with qiu & xiaomei on the first bike while ming & myself took on the second bike, off we embarked on our 两人自行车之旅, sounds romantic rite? lol. we pedalled from mac to the East Coast Lagoon Village, and a stopover in-between at the cable-ski arena, where we stood by and watched the water-skiers lie/stand monotonously on their ski-board *sian* so we got abit bored and tot maybe it's time to proceed to the East Coast Lagoon Village for food! haa. yesh! item list as follow: BBQ chicken; BBQ Stingray; BBQ LaLa; BBQ Satay; Coconut drink & Sugarcane drink.

YUMMY! YUMMY! YUMMY! YUMMY! YUMMY!

after our dinner, we spotted a magnificent castle near our dining table =) so we strolled further down to realise, it's in fact a sandcastle workshop that's on-going wor. as the name implies, it's an event conducted to coach those who are interested in building sandcastles by the 'professionals'; and the main purpose for this event is to bring about family-togetherness and harmony among each other, very meaningful, dunch u think so? we saw quite a number of family participating, the children were particularly excited and creative.

there's this caucasian family who took part in the workshop too, and lotsa attention came from their baby boy cos he's just too adorable le. many of the crowd can't lift their eyes off him, that includes myself ^_^ have the urge to cuddle him lor.

and the beautiful sunset by the seaside =) i felt the presence of serenity then.

ps: being calm is such a wonderful feeling.

Dearest's 'First' B'day Party!

When people denote that 'time flies', never doubt on it. its's especially true when comes to the growth of an infant! It's been months since i last carried Summer when she's barely 3mth old then, and now she has officially turned 1yr old as from 8th jan 2007 thereon. No doubt that she's still as chubby and cuddly; she'll will turned into a 小美女 in due time to come judging from her beautiful features.

But this cute little one appears to be someone who can't socialised well; alittle small temper at times; and her distinctive attitude problem (where she will pout and start kicking her limbs whenever she's 'buay song'). haa. well, being the 'little princess' in the family, we'll have to give in to her naturally, afterall my uncle won't bear to lay his fingers on baby Summer, i very much believe. thou, i do, at times have the urge to spank on her 小屁屁!^_^

Anw, i didn't get the chance to carry her on that Saturday night as baby Summer wasn't willing to offer herself to anyone except her Mummy -_-" i planted a kiss on her cheek while she's fidgetting about. haa. no hugs, least a kiss right. Guess she's really tired after a long day of celebration (it's the adults who's enjoying the most in most cases, isn't it?), Summer dozed off in her Daddy's arms quietly when everyones still waiting eagerly for our chance to hug her. Wanted to take some pictures of her, but ended with only one.

my ever dearest is simply too cute le. love her the most! muackz

ps: i sucks in editting i noe. bleah.

New Year's Eve Fireworks

It's sardine-packed at the Esplanade, stretching over the Esplanade Drive bridge til One Fullerton. We managed to squeeze ourselves through the crowd to the Waterfront area, a better view of the fireworks of cos. However there's a price for getting close, having to struggle through aggressive spectators just to find a spot to stand on; having the strength to resist the pushings; the good effort for a short 20mins of fireworks and the weariness after everything. *phew* wad a night?! I mus admit, it's been ages since i've last gone for a massive countdown thingy. Though, i went for the National Day fireworks, but New Year's Eve is horrendous! I am seriously not used to the crowd.

Apart from the 人山人海,the weather gave us abit of problem ard 10.15pm, with some drizzling and majority of the spectators have to seek shelter from the nearest MS mall. There again, MS also packed with 避雨者, well well... think we were stucked in the building for nearly 30mins or so, then RY's fren Glenda (hope i got it right) called out to her fren to check on the rain outside, to our greatest relieve the weather's clear. I would be very disappointed if the fireworks were called off wor :x but thank god for the nice weather after the dark clouds are gone. Alright enough of text, it's time to show off some pictures!

random pic of fireworks taken by RY's dearest sister, Ruoting ^_^

hahaa... I looked totally drained out after the countdown siah :x RY still look so refreshed. goodness!

ps: RY, thanks for that nite and nice meeting ur lovable frenz =) ohh.. yea, thank ur sis for the photos and clips too.

of the Homemade cake

random pictures of the day.

helped mummy in the kitchen on the baking of orange sponge cake on Sunday afternoon. upon completion i packed a few pcs with me to pass on to missy RY on our countdown nite @ MS. it's 'sponge cake' not bread lah -.-"

of the New Year

It's New Year again, let's welcome year2007!
I can't believe i'm feeling so empty on the first day of a brand new year. i'm feeling so useless now, someone save me pls! I don't even dare to dream of my days for the rest of my 2007. What a start for the year. sigh.
