An unexpected call

i was awaken up a call this afternoon, in the midst of my deep sleep, but i wasn't totally annoyed, seriously i wasn't. tho i find her voice familiar, but i wasn't certain if that's reali her, so i asked: who's on the line? is this Mrs. Fong? HAA.. i was reali excited to hear frm her again =) then again, how did she get my no? haa.. nvm that, lest she still remembers me 好开心!somehow i feel at ease and reali comfortable toking to her each time, she's so like a mother to me =)

we chatted for a whole 30mins or so; on everything... from her family to mine, to my studies, my work, and err.. mobile phones. lol. i kinda revealed my p/t job to her, and she's complaining over her nokia fone, cmi lah, i then told her my past experience with my N70 and the subsequent swop over to SE fone, haa... and i've totally condemn on nokia since then.

boy... suddenly i misses everyone from Highgate =x 感触良多

ps: god bless u, Mrs. Fong and family

One more day to Chinese New Year

okay... i ain't counting down to CNY, nope, definately not. but nevertheless Chinese New Year is approaching in less than 24hrs! and i've yet to get my new year clothes, such a pathetic fool i am =(

and yea.. i ended up with something else that is kinda beside the point; mum bought me a new wallet and i pampered myself with a new watch which i kinda like v.much =) and besides the 2 items... i went eating again.. hai... putting on weight le =x

16/02/2007
met ming at JE central and headed down to chinatown, pearl centre or was it people's park? couldn't differentiate the 2, anw, combed the entire level 2 within an hr. however, we're not convinced and so we switched over to orchard, heeren afterwhich. but anw, the end-results still the same... u can pretty much guessed the outcome. again, i compensate myself with food! ohh.. yes... but tis tiem round, it's a jap ramen which i'd wanted to tried quite some time ago but yet to have the chance to, finally got a taste of it on friday night =)

i had the tamago ramen, or stewed boiled egg ramen, recommended by the server. ramen in broth was topped with pork slices, a stewed boiled egg, spinach, pickled bamboo, spring onions, and a piece of seaweed. the star was the gorgeous soft-boiled egg. with lightly-set whites and a creamy, oozy yolk. i swear, it's really darn good!

平常心

man... now i reali get to noe wad it means by ‘ 平常心’where u dun do things on delibrate; and u noe wad, sometimes dat reali helps alot.

i went bugis today with qiu after err... my non-official dismissal. haa.. which means i skipped my lessons in btn break. i was so gan cheong to mit up with qiu, so dat we can mit early and explore more of bugis. anw, my main intention was to get the dress still, no doubt, but i benefited more tis time round, cos i got myself a pair of shoes together with some accessories, which i din planned in getting initially, so it's kinda like a "surprise" lah... and u can get rejoyce over such tiny weeny bit of self-pleasure for buying things u like pretty much =) dats happiness.

ohh.. while.. i din managed to get the dress still, kinda upset lah... but nvm... i hav thur and fri for the very very last min shopping. lol.

today's 14th Feb, and yes.. it's V'day. parco bugis has quite a few vendors selling V'day related gifts, like roses and teddy bears, chocolates etc.. with the men seems extremely busy today. woot~ so many events going on.

Happy Valentines to all! <3

Sun with Moon Japanese Dinning & Cafe

hai...

i noe it's not very nice to sigh at the beginning of any start, but i simply can't help but to give a big HAI.. cos cos, i haven got my CNY clothes yet *boo*
went shopping at Far East with qiu & huini few hrs back, hoping to get at least one new set of clothes lor, but sadly, i ended up with none again. and wadz worse, huini can 'sweep' anything in the store lor... she bought more than 5 items i think =(
y ah? shopping should be an easy and enjoyable task mah... i'm dreading it nw. the clock's ticking away..... *tic tock*

on a brighter side, qiu brought me to Sun with Moon Jap dinning cafe, very interesting name they call it. i feel the ambience and lightings are pretty alluring, nice dinning atmosphere.

and so it took us quite awhile to decide on the dishes we're gonna have, b4 we finally concluded on the followings.

dinner main course:
1) beef strips kamameshi with raw egg (traditional steamed seasoned rice pot) recomended!
2) prawn & scallop teppanyaki
3) honey-baked pork thingy (haa.. forgotten the name for it, but the bloody porky damn hard to bite off lah) not recomended!

i personally like the beef kamameshi... the rice is superbly fragrance and tasty... *yummy* see an hourglass on top? (3rd pic from the left), the kamameshi are suppose to simmer for a min or so after it's being served to our table, b4 we can tuck in. desserts are the BEST! no joke =) i'll definately go back again jus for the desserts! hee...

desserts:
1) green tea tiramitsu - unlike the norm tiramitsu cake, it's more like a mousse to me (but qiu says there's another name for it, anw take dat as wad it is for nw)
2) tofu cheesecake - cheesecake! my fave of all, makes me reali fall head over. very smooth and the portion is jus nice, excessive indulgence can be sick.
3) sweet box - assorted small dishes of light snacks like ice-cream, mochi, orange sponge cake and fruits (i'm having sweet tooth now, hee.)
4) my apricot green tea (nicely brewed apricot aroma)

they hav many more desserts in their menu list... too many to be named, shall try them the next time.

with a blink of eye... before u noe it... CNY is coming jus next week. gezz.. uber fast!

i've been wanting to do something to my hair, esp with CNY approaching, everything's gotta be new and fresh! *haa* but i've no idea as to wad changes to be made, headache to me. however, i dun wish to further procrastinate this task, otherwise i probably can't afford the time to even go for a trim (i'll want more than just a trim). hmm.. thinking of changing a new colour.. lighter tone... but scare of the after effect. mm... i'm still pretty lost here, i'll jus throw the thinking part to Agnes bah, certainly hope she understand and propose something to my liking =) so pls dun disappoint me... bless me with the 美美 hairdo ^_^

i haven bought (shop, rather) for my CNY clothes lor.... 怎么办? everyones so busy shopping for CNY and i'm still so laidback. 咳。。这次真的头大咯!tis sat, by hook or by crook oso mus get my CNY outfit le 嗯!

S.H.E 2007 移动城堡 正式落幕了

yesh! at long last, it's the yr2007 S.H.E live concert at the S'pore Indoor Stadium =)
i left home very early for dat day siah, haa... not for the concert thou, but to mit qiumei as she wanted to visit NYP first. but the plan was cancelled very last min. when qiu says she wasn't sure of the Open House timing... and that she would rather go shopping instead :x lol. 女人是善变的!so we went J8 instead, its been quite a long time since i last stepped into Bishan. wee~ shopping..

so much of excitement, i ended up wif only one coat frm S&K. appearantly, J8 oso not much options to my likings wor. hai. i then suggest to go Dhoby Ghaut Exchange afterwhich, cos i've never been there b4 (very sua gu). tot might be a wiser choice for shopping. but to my extreme disappointment, the exchange is so small and limited siah... u can probably finished walking around in less than 40mins, reali nutthin much ah. sian. but with my never-say-die spirit, i dragged qiu to The Cathay! lol. i've only been there once with bud & jac for movie, but that was before the retails were even operating, haa.. gan cheong spiders. ohh... not forgetting... we bought pocky's at err... Action City? haa. forgotten where le. anw, it's a store selling those cute little soft toys and such.

so anw, the retails at Cathay are pretty much sad case too, with very few shops opening for business while the rest are either left vacant or under renovations -.-"
we took a quick bite at 满家乐, and we've gotta storm off to Kallang, cos we're getting late :x we were typically rushing our way to the Indoor Stadium, panting and perspiring like mad, my stamina damn bad lah. but thank god, we still make it in time, managed to pee before the concert begins thou the que for the ladies was HORRIBLE!

my very first experience at the balcony arena, and probably the last in my life. the audience were so dead! urgh... hello! u're not listening to some classical/musical performance lor... grr.. totally not spontenous at all, qiu and i were the crazy ones... yelling and waving madly... totally exhausted towards the end. but yea... hell of fun, with the screaming and sing along. i think Stef Sun's truly deserved the 小天后 title, cos her vocal's reali power lor... *thumbs up*
no photos on the concert thou, since i din bring my cranky cam along, and sadly to find out that my 3.2mp k800i couldn't perform up to the standard as well. but i'm glad i've enjoyed myself well enuff and with a companion like qiu to act so crazily. haa...

special thanks to best pal ever, missy wong.
she made honey water drink for me! 幸福的感觉
!

ps: qiu, sorry about the cosy bay. we'll go another time k.

[26-01-07] a toast to you!

it's been a long time since i last went drinking with anyone. strangely, tis few days, i've been craving for a great chillout companied wif nice alcoholic mix, and interesting frenz to go along. so i intiate a nite out at Eski bar perhaps (my initial plan, since i've never been to Eski @ Holland; and after RY's introduction to Eski with her pictures).

i met up wif ming str8 from work, but the weather was bad. it's been drizzling the whole afternoon and i was aware of that, but little did i expect the rain to pour more vigorously jus when i was about to knock off. reluctantly, i took the train down to Dover and got into a cab to holland.v; so as to keep myself dry, as well as not to keep ming waiting since she's alr in Holland.v since 7pm.

after a short discussion, ming and i decided to change our plan to Tango's instead, hoping that they might serve better food (cos i was kinda hungry then). i'd ordered their spicy tango's wings and cheese tofu in some specially marinated sauce (but the fact is, it's actuali 'sardine' sauce, based on my judgement); and a glass of lychee martini to start the kick off. anw, the wings are pretty good - mixture of spicy and a tiny bit of soury taste, but the cheese tofu kinda put me off... definately not a second time for dat dish. while i'm trying hard to finish my snacks, qiumei and her fren, angie joined in shortly from their ktv singing. wif a slight debuting, qiumei was pushing the idea of drinking at Eski instead cos she's never been to Eski, and well.. we gave in lah, thou i wasn't prepared to (cos i forgotten to bring my sweater :x) plus the weather's not good too.

saw RY and her "gang" near the counter, RY wif her fave heineken as usual. and we so happen to have our seats jus next to her table. we ordered greygoose canberry and chivas coke for dat nite. my 'blushes' gave me away as usual, haa... i love to blush! i wish to drink somemore, wif CNY approaching.. haa.. let's cheers. *clink*

Yumilicious Mochi Ice-cream

'muah ji' ice-cream - comes with 3 flavours; chocolate, mint and strawberry; bite-size, not too sinful. haa.
i'm having more junk food nowadays. that's bad.

Holly Shit !

my camera's not quite right this 2 days. i can't charge my cam!! urgh. >.<
mm.. my fuji camera probably knew i'd jus got my SE cybershot fone, hence the protesting. hai.

my one and only camera is going to die soon! how? *cry*
OH NOoo! which means i can't bring in my cam for S.H.E concert le!! 怎么办!? even thou, i may not be able to 'smuggle' in my cam eventually, but there's still skimp of hope rite?

i do not wish to send my camera for servicing again, cos the service centre is bloody far lah, paya lebar leh.... Zzz. inaccessible lor, hai. dunno how much are they charging me for the servicing oso, 很烦阿 the next qn, if its not worth the effort to service, then wadz next? whether to get a new cam anot? feel like getting one, but maybe not... i'm not fully-utilising it, i'm aware of dat myself.

ps: get well pls.. my f410

Chilling out at Vivo City

finally met up wif buddy! together wif jac (been looking forward!)
met jac at harbourfront station. we went shop shop abit while waiting for bud to join us later, then jac suggested to go adidas store, and so we went in, hoping to find any nicely new arrival tees but sad to say, dun have lor. bud arrived shortly, meawhile jac's still indecisive on which sneakers to get, taking into considerations the designs and colours. on seeing jac in dilemma(again), we insisted that she should just try on the shoes to see if it fits, after much persuasion, jac finally took on to try 2 pairs out of the rest. unfortunately, one of which doesn't comes in her size, but anw the one she took looks nice on her too. hope she likes it as much as i do. hee.

wif the partial shopping, we went on to scout for food! yesh... food at last... terribly hungry that day. on our way to the 2nd level in search for out dinner, i saw a familiar yet strange character walking towards our direction. it was 'L' from the anime/movie Death Note! to be precise, we saw this dude wearing the same exact mask as 'L' in the movie Death Note 2, and he's wearing dat mask window-shopping in vivo lor (maybe not shopping, but to draw attention instead). while naturally, this mimic dude caught lotsa attention from the crowd, since hardly anybody wif the right mind would do that. just to refresh, anyone who has watched DN2 would have recognised him. haa.. but dat fellow is candid lah and playful enuff. wonder how he looks like in person, would he be as cute as 'L'? hee. okay, enuff of 'L'

bud was telling us about this new hong kong theme cafe call ‘黑色会’seriously i have no idea wad this 黑色会 is about, but i think their dishes must be not bad bah... u've gotta see the queue for urself to believe lor... i truly believe s'poreans are very kiasu when it comes to the food aspect. then again, longer que reflects on its popularity, but the longer que does not equates to the ontology of the food itself being tasty. but do look out for the 黑色会 the next time u visit vivo, to testify on that. hence, queing for 黑色会 is out of the question for dat nite, we ended up at White Dog cafe, cos there's lesser crowd! haa.. i hate to wait lah... esp when i'm already so dead hungry, grr..

we'd ordered a main course each, and a appetizer for a start =) bud's main cos was sandwiches (forgotten the name for it); jac's main cos was King's Scallop inked linguine with presto sauce; and mine was Chicken Leg (think so lah, can't reali rem the name for it), only rem jac's the most since its "too memorable" to forget le. lol. ohh.. yea... for those who din noe, there's a difference between inked pasta and ink sauce pasta. so if u dun wan ur teeth to 'stain' after the meal, go for the INKED pasta, where the pasta being process with wadever ink they call it, before the chef adds the pasta in the sauce to flavour it. jac got her inked linguine exchanged to crabmeat pasta eventually due to some error in the defination of the pasta, found in the menu, which i won't go into detail. overall, i would rate the food with jus a 6/10 but the ambience was pretty good thou, so probably a 7.5/10 for that. shall leave the rest to the photos to elaborate more =)

Chirp Chirp....

my fave finger food at the present moment. quite tasty, not spicy at all; neither is it oily or filled with disgusting chicken fats =) think i got it from Giant, $6 for 2 pkts.

My k8ooi

finally dumped my N70 for my very first SonyEricsson phone - k800i!

M1 at Westmall was selling k800i at $268, throwing in a 64mb m2 card. i tot about the offer, but i remembered they were giving 256mb on friday, so i wasn't convinced and decided to check out at IMM instead. true enough, M1 at IMM is giving me an additional 256mb m2 card! (i'm happy ^_^) i'm glad that i didn't rush to get the fone at Westmall. i'm still figuring out certain features in my fone, need some practises on the camera as well.
kiss goodbye to Nokia fone for the time being.
